OSHA’s Proposed Updating to its Eye and Face Protection Standard

OSHA has published into the National register the changes previously proposed to its Eye and Face protection standard.  Simply—-The new standard brings the standards into the 21st century with the current national consensus and industry standards.  ANSI and other agencies have updated the specifications for protection according to the most current studies.  OSHA has finally gotten around to incorporate them into their regulations.  In addition to these updated standards, OSHA has made the language in the construction industry regulations more consistent with the general industry and maritime regulations.
