New National Association of Manufactures (NAM) report (http://www.nam.org/~/media/A7A8456F33484E498F40CB46D6167F31.ashx) shows complying with regulations from all government agencies costs the average U.S. manufacturer over $19K per employee.  Additionally, the report revealed that over 20% of companies reported being audit or inspected by a Federal agency last year with the average cost on fines, judicial cost or other cost to achieve compliance running $83K.

Also of interest in the report, the average manufacturer employees 10 full-time persons devoted to keeping their firm in compliance.
